We took the conscious decision to award three single supplier lots in this framework for a number of reasons.

Firstly, it would allow Procurement Hub to establish a key strategic relationship with each of the three contractors, which would ensure that we can give all our customers the confidence that this framework will deliver against their expectations.

Secondly, having a single supplier on each lot enables customers to progress immediately with any of the contractors, enabling faster delivery of construction programs, whilst also avoiding potentially lengthy, and complicated mini competitions.

Lastly, by creating a strategic relationship with the three awarded suppliers, Procurement Hub has been able to define a very broad range of call-off contracts that can be used with this framework, affording customers unrivalled flexibility, simplicity, and speed.
