Incorporating Solar PV | News | Procurement Hub

In our first guest post, Bruce Brunson from MAP Environmental talks about how solar power could greatly reduce your organisation's energy costs.

Every generation has to adapt to changing technology: from fire light; to candle light; to gas light; to electric light and in the 21st century, LED light.

This same principle applies in renewable energy generation technologies, particularly the change in attitudes to the use of Solar PV. Change and the need to embrace new ideas is as daunting as it is inevitable. JF Kennedy said “…change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future”. MAP Environmental are market leaders with a clear vision for the future design and supply of renewable energy.

Not just an upgrade

It would be naive and ill-conceived, when advising our clients, to not appreciate that this change in technology is not just an 'upgrade', as if someone might be changing their annual phone contract, but more about enhancing energy use understanding and re-educating behaviours. You don't take your cat with you to go bird shopping. Not because the cat isn't polite, but because he's a cat and your interests are not aligned.

So when trying to understand this technology and its application, then moving forward with a trusted partner is essential. Coming together is the beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success.

As an ESCO (Energy Saving Company), MAP Environmental works closely with clients to ethically provide long-term energy solutions. Our experienced team build lasting relationships with our clients based on transparency and trust. In this way we are able to address concerns about funding, procurement, the process, system reliability, and the benefits.

High cost of energy

In response to universal concerns about the high cost of energy, MAP Environmental has developed a fully-funded turnkey solution to energy provision through Solar PV.

Our agreement covers the full installation costs and maintenance and monitoring during the 20-year lease period. During this arrangement a considerable reduction in annual energy bills for the property occupier will be realised, along with many other benefits - from improved energy performance to reduced CO2.

We are delighted to be working collaboratively with Places for People, one the largest Registered Providers in the UK. This exciting venture allows the utilisation of Places for People’s Procurement Hub which offers a number of free-to-join OJEU compliant procurement frameworks being brought to you by one of the UK's largest property management, development and regeneration companies.
