We're excited to welcome Sacha Whalley to the Procurement Hub team! Sacha joins us as our new Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM), bringing a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the new role.
Sacha will help in building strong, mutually beneficial relationships with our suppliers. They play a vital role between Procurement Hub and our valued members, ensuring clear communication, efficient collaboration, and optimal value for all involved.
To get acquainted with Sacha, we sat down with her for a quick Q&A:
Q: Sacha, welcome to the team! Can you tell us a bit about your background, and the expertise you’re bringing to the team?
A: I joined Places for People as the Credit Control Lead in January 2019. I am CICM qualified and have 20 years experience in income collection, negotiations, problem solving and positive communication. I like to focus my energy on building relationships and streamlining processes to make the full experience easier for both the client and the business. Since joining the Group I have embraced our values, customer promises and have developed a good understanding of the complexities that come with being in such a large organisation.
Q: What excites you most about joining Procurement Hub?
A: I am most excited about building solid relationships with Procurement Hub suppliers. I'm looking forward to working with them to showcase the value that the Procurement Hub can bring to their company.
Q: Tell us a bit about yourself, when you're not at work, what do you get up to?
A: I live with my partner and between us we have 3 children between the ages of 4-16. They definitely keep us on our toes and super busy! When I can sneak in some “me” time, you will find me in the gym. I’m an early riser so it’s usually the 6am spinning class. I love to travel and embrace different cultures.
Q: What can suppliers expect from you as the new SRM in terms of communication and support?
A: Our suppliers can expect a clear communication channel. I want to help resolve queries, celebrate new opportunities and build mutual trust and understanding. I’m here for it all, the good, the bad and the ugly. Let’s talk, be positive and find solutions that drive both the Procurement Hub and our supplier forward.
Q: What’s your superpower?
A: My superpower is that I look for the good in every aspect of life. If things aren’t going great, then it’s a learning curve. I see things as an opportunity to improve and I do this to show my kids that they can get through anything that comes their way.
Q: Where's your happy place?
A: My happy place is Fairhaven Lake in Lytham. It's where my nana took me as a child and it's where we go with the kids for ice cream.
Q: Finally, Coffee or Tea?
A: Weak black coffee with no sugar. Unless I'm in McDonalds, then it's 100% a toffee latte.
We're thrilled to have Sacha on board and confident her skills and experience will be a valuable asset to our team. We look forward to seeing her develop strong relationships with our suppliers and contribute to the continued success of projects for our members.
